Visa
No problem- Venezuelan citizens do not need a visa to enter Spain as tourists (short stays), unless European Union agreements or regulations state otherwise.
- A visa is not required for those who hold the foreigner identity card (NIE) or, exceptionally, a return authorization.
- Citizens of Schengen area countries also do not need a visa to enter Spain; some countries do need one (check the full list on the Embassy of Spain's website).
Documents you may be asked for at immigration
Keep in mind- Officers may ask for documents that prove the purpose of the trip.
- Round-trip ticket (or a tourist circuit ticket) to return to the country of origin or continue to a third country, except Spanish citizens or citizens of Schengen countries.
- Invitation letter or hotel booking: a document proving the place of stay, issued by the establishment, or an invitation letter from a private individual.
Proof of funds
Keep in mind- You must show sufficient financial means for the length of stay, or be able to obtain them legally.
- Reference in force since 2024: 113.40 euros per person per day, with a minimum of 1,010.60 euros (or its equivalent in another currency).
Reference requirements: governments change them without notice and the immigration officer decides on arrival. Always confirm with the country's consulate or with TUCUAM before buying and traveling.
